Chef Damon began her career in Visual Arts and crossed over to the culinary world while enrolled at the San Francisco Art Institute. As a student at the California Culinary Academy, Emily worked as a Pastry Assistant at The Blue Fox, completed her Externship with Elizabeth Falkner at Elka and was part of the opening team at Rubicon where she also worked for Ms. Falkner and Traci Des Jardins for a year and a half. Upon Graduating from the CCA, Emily moved over to the Brassiere Savoy to be the Executive Pastry Chef.

After spending time in New Mexico at Prairie Star and Scalo Northern Italian Grille she headed to Providence, RI at Cafe Nuovo where she was quoted in the New York Times as "making waves around town with her stellar desserts."

Emily landed back in her native state of Maine where she opened 151 Main Street in April of 2001. Chef Damon created a smart, yet casual Bistro style menu with a focus on comfort foods, while maintaining creativity and her passion for clean flavors and local ingredients. (read more)
